Personal Information

When not in classes or studying, I enjoy my time relaxing at home and spending quality time with my "other half" aka: boyfriend. My favorite leisure activities include camping or sitting by the lake, grilling on the barby, international traveling (which hasn't come often enough lately!), going to the theatre, reading a good book or...who doesn't love sleeping?!

  • MFS, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Forensic Science (Behavioral Emphasis) - 2006
  • MSW, University of Nebraska - Omaha, Social Work - anticipated graduation 2011

  • Child abuse and neglect - affects on children and families
  • Child welfare systemic change
  • Community education regarding child abuse and neglect
  • Permanency for Children currently in the foster care system

Professional Activities & Community Service

  • Member - National Association of Social Workers
  • Member - Nebraska Coalition for Victims of Crime
  • Board Member - Neighborworks, Inc. in Lincoln, NE.
  • Member/participant - Lincoln/Lancaster County Coalition for Drug Endangered Children (Coalition in process of being accepted under the Nebraska DEC)
  • Currently trained and available to serve as a trainer for Lancaster County Meth 360. (Trained by the partnership for a Drug Free America)
  • Volunteer - Safe Quarters Walk for the Friendship Home in Lincoln
