CCFL was excited to host a partner recognition luncheon celebrating Lincoln VITA's 40+ years of free tax prep service! CCFL's Linda Moody, VITA coordinator and project lead, recognized the Nebraska Department of Revenue, Lincoln City Libraries, and University of Nebraska College of Law partners for their incredible commitment to the program that provides volunteer-led tax credit education and tax filing preparation to underserved communities. Kyla McGregor, statewide coordinator, highlighted an archive of news articles showing Lincoln VITA's impactful history. We also heard from CCFL Director Eve Brank, who spoke about the strong alignment of VITA's work and our mission of helping the helpers to improve the lives of children and families.
