Brittany Brakenhoff helps BraveBe launch Brave Faces Lincoln

Recently, Brittany Brakenhoff, PhD, was acknowledged with the Acts of Bravery Award from BraveBe Child Advocacy Center

Brakenhoff spoke at BraveBe's Harvest of Hope 2025 fundraiser. She shared her own story and helped to launch the Brave Faces Lincoln program. BraveBe said that, "Her willingness to speak so openly was incredibly powerful and inspiring—not only to our team, but to the entire community."

Brave fACEs is a community initiative of BraveBe Child Advocacy Center, raising awareness about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and building resilience in our community. Learn more about their new initiative at www.bravefaces.org.

Brakenhoff is a research assistant professor at CCFL, working on a wide range of projects focused on homelessness prevention, trauma, intervention development, child well-being, and mental health.
