CCFL welcomed Women Investing in Nebraska (WIN) members for a Trauma-Capable Schools site visit on March 23, 2026. CCFL is grateful for WIN’s support in expanding access to this training statewide.

In early March, the Trauma-Capable Schools launched a new learning management system and began Phase One of the program in three rural school districts. CCFL was pleased to share with WIN members the positive impact the program is having on teachers.

Trauma-Capable Schools, led by Cheryl Turner, MA, LIMHP, LPC, is a two-phase, research-based program that provides educators with practical trauma intervention strategies. The initiative moves beyond theoretical resources to deliver actionable tools that help educators support student well-being and academic success.
