Joyce has 32 years experience working in the child welfare system - 9 years as a Protection and Safety Worker and Supervisor and 23 years in her current position providing field training to Children & Family Service Specialists in the Western Service Area. She has provided P.R.I.D.E Master training and Spaulding Adoption training to NDHHS staff and adoptive families, and has worked as an Adoption Home Study contractor for NDHHS for a number of years. Prior to her work in Child Welfare, Joyce worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 8 years with various Community based programs. She was born and raised in Western Nebraska and she and her husband have raised 6 children (4 of whom were adopted from the child welfare system). Joyce is a die hard Husker, and is devoted to helping families achieve their best in Western Nebraska.
