Krista Roebke, BA, is a Training Manager at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Center on Children, Families, and the Law. Roebke has 25 years of experience in the field of child welfare beginning in direct care working with adolescent girls at Boys Town as an Assistant Family Teacher. She then relocated to Colorado where she worked as a social caseworker in Adams County, Colorado as an ongoing caseworker. She spent a little over two years there before returning to Nebraska where she worked for nearly 8 years as a worker and then supervisor in the field of child protection. In 2011 Roebke transitioned into a different side of child welfare and began working as a court liaison at a privatized organization providing case management before transitioning over to training in 2012 with the Center on Children, Families, and the Law where she began as a Training Specialist, then a Training Coordinator, and currently is a Training Manager. In the 11 years of serving as a Training Coordinator and now Training Manager, Roebke oversees the classroom and virtual training provided to Child and Family Services Specialist throughout the state of Nebraska. This includes ensuring training content is grounded in the policy of the Department of Health and Human Services-Child and Family Services Division, all training needs are met by Training Specialists, overseeing training calendars, and providing training in the areas of initial assessment, interviewing, and legal. Roebke possesses extensive expertise in child welfare policy, procedures, and training delivery, demonstrating a deep understanding of the field.
