Michael is mostly retired after 41 years of practicing law for the State of Nebraska. He continues his long relationship as a legal trainer with CCFL under contract. He enjoys his family, playing golf and watching sports, especially Husker sports.

Michael is a past president of the American Association of Public Welfare Attorneys and he was a long time member of their Executive Committee as a Regional Representative. He was a long time member of the National Association of Counsel for Children.
