Angela has 20+ years working in the field of domestic violence. She has worked as the Care Coordinator at Clinton Elementary School, volunteered at Voices of Hope in Lincoln, was on the Lancaster County Family Violence Council Board, and has served on the Nebraska Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team through the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. Currently she trains new DHHS Child Family Services Specialists in the areas of domestic violence, human trafficking and assist with substance use training. Angela is also the Training Coordinator for the Safe and Healthy Families Initiative (SAHFI) for Lancaster County assisting to build a community response around domestic violence. Angela is a member of the Lancaster County Domestic Violence Subcommittee for Nebraska’s first Domestic Violence Problem Solving Court as well as a member of the Lancaster County Team Response for Anti-Trafficking and Child Exploitation/TRACE MDT. Angela also trains and provides consultation to 3rd-year law students serving as guardians ad litem (GALS) and assists with the Children's Justice Attorney Education program (CJAE) in the area of domestic violence.
