The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Center on Children, Families, and the Law (CCFL) will oversee the planning process and local grant competition to help teens and young adults find stable housing.

The City of Lincoln has been awarded a $2.2 million grant from The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address youth homelessness through the Youth Homeless Demonstration Program.

"This award represents hope for the future, but it also reflects on the strength and ability of the Lincoln Continuum of Care and Homeless Coalition as a system of care," notes Jeff Chambers, Senior Project Director of the Community Services Division at CCFL. "To be recognized with this grant from among the more than 600 CoCs in the country is a testament to the tremendous work the entire community has dedicated to assisting those most vulnerable in our community."
